Can This Even Be Called Music?
As a whole, Κρέων is a magnificently terrible doom opera that feels consistent from Alpha to Omega. For what it aims to do, it succeeds, and they certainly raised the bar for other bands and for themselves too. This, truly, is a sublime piece of work. Review: wp.me/p3mIfa-nhY

These are truly epic and grand compositions that are emotive and complex. I'm a sucker for conceptual albums, so it is probably a given that I'm partial to this album, but this is great music sans my bias.
Favorite track: Ἀντιγόνη.
Three years after the monstruous and blackened “Világvége”, RORCAL is back with a brand new full length entitled “CREON”. Again, this new beast is showing a different face of the band by the mean of 4 hellish tracks for more than 50 minutes of music. Furious, but also melodic, these new songs display a wild range of atmosphere, each one serving the purpose of an epic story. Yes, it’s the death of 4 well known Greek characters, all linked to Creon, that are narrated in this new concept album. Punishing blast beats, heavy riffs, progressive structures expressed through brilliant song writing, possessed vocals ; everything is here reunited to create a new level of insanity in the field of extreme music. This 4th full length, recorded in three days in live conditions by Steph Kroug and mixed in Sweden by Daniel Bergstrand, is a journey nobody could have dreamed of. Let the magic do its job, let yourself drown in this beautiful and savage piece of aggression.

I stumbled upon this great band by me searching for black metal as I’m fairly new to the genre, only listening for just under 2 years and god damn am I blessed to have found this a few months ago. V is definitely my favorite track because listen to those drum patterns holy cow!
Everything about this album speaks to me in such a level that I don’t think I myself truly understand what that level is. Thank you 🙏🏽 Miguel Espinosa
